Most of us want to do the right thing, but how do we know what the right thing is? We seek God by seeking his righteousness. Walk with us as we seek together in worship! What would it mean to seek to be ruled by someone? Is living the kingdom a good thing? And do we even have a choice? Jesus is smarter, kinder, and more important than you knew. Come and see! Everybody has blindspots -- things others see about us that we can't or won't see. But what if there are things that nobody sees? Or things we cannot see without help, even divine intervention? Join us as we take a look at what Jesus, the Light of the World can do for each and all of us. Beginning with the end in mind: we gather at the first of the year to offer our gratitude and praise to God. In the end he will make all things new, and we don't have to wait to praise him for it. Here's a direct link to the Sunday School Christmas Program from the Dec 11 worship service: The birth of Christ made possible not just a new way of understanding life, but a new way of living it. -- Frederick Buechner. Do you know the story of Jesus' birth? Join us for Christmas Eve with candlelight, carols, and the Christ child. The beauty of the evening helps us know the holiness of it. You've got reason to feel blue. Blue Christmas may be the remedy. 7:00 pm Wednesday, Dec. 21, 202212/7/2022
The beauty of the Christmas season sometimes reminds us of the people we have lost or the losses we have suffered. Winter solstice — the longest, darkest night of the year — is a good time to gather, to sit with our griefs, and to offer them up to God. Our annual “Blue Christmas” service is a time to remember and name the losses that come as part of living as caring persons, looking forward with hope and peace. Can you believe the lengths some will go to provide for someone they love? I hope you know in your bones how far God has gone to come close to you. Worship with us online or in person. |
