Tomorrow is the third Sunday in Advent, and therefore we choose Joy. There are plenty of reasons to be joyful in response to the events leading up to and including Christ’s birth. You will see some of them in our worship service and in Sunday School Christmas Program which takes place during worship. Come to be delighted in the participation of our children and the retelling of the Christmas story. Worship ends with the Lucia story and procession. It reminds us of a young girl who was martyred on December 13, 304 AD. Because she embraced Christianity, she gave away her fortune and served the poor. Lucia became a living symbol of light, hope, and faith to the Swedish people. Christ continues to light the way for us. Comments are closed.
