Financial giving update.

​Dear Christchurch Community,

These are extraordinary times for all of us. The routines of our lives have changed in ways that we could not have imagined just two weeks ago. Though uncertainty abounds nothing can separate us from the love of Christ. Indeed, this is a wonderful time be lifted by our faith and by the prayers of our brothers and sisters in Christ. 

With all of the disruption in our lives, it is understandable that financial support of Christchurch might slip our minds. The on-line service from last Sunday was a visible reminder that the work of our church has never been more vital. Given that this coronavirus can survive on surfaces for several days, we suggest that you consider on-line, electronic giving. Follow the links (or click on this direct link), which will prompt you to create an account for this and future giving. Giving selections of 1) One time, 2) Weekly or 3) Monthly must be made, and designation of those funds (i.e. Pastor’s Discretionary, etc. or if not designated, it will go to General Funds). If you need assistance feel free to email our Financial Secretary.

In addition to donating to the general fund of the church, please do consider donating to the Pastor’s Discretionary fund. This fund is used to support people in our church with immediate and acute financial needs. We anticipate that this fund will be well used in the future as the financial consequences of this pandemic play out. The church’s leadership intends to keep you informed about this fund on a regular basis. If you wish to donate to this fund please make sure to make a note in the electronic giving portal. 

We do understand that some will continue to give via the more familiar method of mailing checks to the church. We are developing a process to ensure the safety of handling checks that arrive via the mail.
