When you donate to Christchurch, where does that money go?
Donations to Christchurch go into our General Fund and are used to pay our normal operating expenses. Gifts can also be designated to benefit one of our designated funds. Current designated funds include:
Christian Camp Scholarship Fund: Helps to defray the cost to families sending their kids to summer and/or winter camps such as Blueberry Mountain and Pilgrim Pines.
Operation Christmas Child Fund: Donated funds are used to purchase gifts and supplies, or are forwarded to Samaritan’s Purse to help with the cost of shipping “shoeboxes” to kids around the world.
Pastor's Discretionary Fund: Used locally, at the Pastor’s discretion to help Christchurch members and non-members in need of food, clothing, paying utility bills and other essentials.
Renovation Fund: Pays for upgrades to the building not covered by our general operating budget. Examples include new flooring in the bathroom and new carpet in the sanctuary.
Resettlement Fund: Recent immigrants, asylees, and refugees often need financial assistance with the cost of housing, food and clothing. This fund is used to assist members/regular attendees of Christchurch in this category.
Unite Fund: Helps defray the cost to families sending their high school teens to this national 5-day, once every 3-years Christian retreat.
Youth Group Fund: Helps defray the cost of activities for our youth.
