There is plenty that is paradoxical about following Jesus, and the Apostle Paul names it pretty clearly: being a Christian brings life and death and life. But paradoxical doesn't have to mean hard to understand -- if you are willing to follow wherever Jesus leads.  Ash Wednesday begins Lent, the 40 days of preparation before Easter.
