We all need hope in order to live, but what do we hope for? And what do we put our hope in? Sunday starts the four week countdown to Christmas! Join us as we check our hopes and fears in worship. Worship will feature a Concert of Scripture, readings from you from the Gospels during what is usually the sermon portion of the worship service. We have been focusing on the words of Jesus throughout 2021, and many of us have just finished reading through the Gospels. Come tomorrow ready to read a verse or paragraph that’s a quote from or about Jesus. We will let Scripture wash over us, and we will listen for what the Spirit has to say to us! Is God far off and aloof? Why then are there so many promises in the Bible to the contrary? Let's take a hard look at what it means that God is "with us" in worship this Sunday, beginning at 10:45am. Wouldn’t you want what’s best for your loved ones, your family, even for yourself? Or at least the best you can afford? Sometimes we are dramatically wrong about what’s good and better and best for us. That’s why we turn to Jesus to know our world and our lives better. What does Jesus say is best? And what’s the path to what’s best — for everyone? Join us for in-person and livestream worship Sunday at 10:45am. |
